We are announcing that our office will remain closed to our clients for the foreseeable future. With that said, there are times where it is necessary for a client to come to our office to pick up a document or sign something. We are asking that you call and arrange a time to come in, rather than just stopping by. If you do need to come to our office we ask:
· That you wear a mask at all times (we will also take your temperature with a touchless thermometer and screen for symptoms).
· When you arrive in the parking lot, call and let us know you have arrived.
· Please do not come up to our office until one of our staff has let you know that we are ready.
· If you’re dropping off paperwork, please slide it under the door (if it fits). Call so we can keep an eye out.
With Clark County moving into Phase 2, we are transitioning our staff to work in the office more so we can provide our clients with excellent representation in their workers’ compensation claims.
There are two reasons why we are keeping our offices closed to our clients. First, some of our clients are at high risk if they catch COVID-19. Our understanding of the current medical data is that individuals with significant pre-existing conditions are likely to have a more serious illness if they become infected. Continuing to offer face-to-face meetings inside an office building would place both our staff and our clients at higher risk.
The second reason is that many of our clients and potential clients are hard-working men and women who do not have jobs where they can work from home. Heavy, manual labor jobs can place individuals in situations where clusters of infections can occur. We also represent grocery-store workers, nurses, CNAs, medical professionals, and first responders who are at even greater risk. Even if you are home, unable to work, you may have a spouse or family member who is working a job that expose them to the virus.
We know how inconvenient it is for you and us to have remote representation, but we must put our clients’ safety first. We will periodically review and update this policy as local, state, and national conditions change with regards to COVID. If you have any questions, please email your attorney.
